Food wholesaler cuts energy bills by more than 15%

New chill room, glazing and lighting helps Inverness-based business save carbon

Swansons Food Wholesalers in Inverness came to Zero Waste Scotland’s Energy Efficiency Business Support Service when it needed to replace two inefficient shipping containers with a modern chill room.

The business was given further recommendations to install double-glazed windows in the office and switch to LED lighting, with all the changes saving around £2,000 a year.
